• Finland on the Coast of the Arctic Ocean: Learn about the fascinating history of Petsamo, a region that was part of Finland between 1920 and 1944. This exhibition showcases the rapid economic and cultural development during that period, from bustling fishing and mining industries to the unique Arctic Ocean Highway.

• Northern Ways: Explore the rich history of Lapland, its people, and how the harsh Arctic environment shaped their lives. This exhibition covers everything from traditional livelihoods like reindeer herding and fishing, to the vibrant cultural life of the Sámi people and the history of Rovaniemi.

• Arctic Seasons: Watch a beautiful 10-minute film showcasing the dramatic seasonal changes in the Arctic. From the magical polar nights to the brilliance of the Northern Lights, this film illustrates how nature, animals, and humans adapt to the ever-changing light and weather conditions of the Arctic. (Please note: the film is shown in the Polarium theatre, but may not be available if reserved for conferences.)

• Arctic Opposites: Opening in December 2024, this immersive exhibition will provide visitors with an interactive journey through the Arctic’s diverse landscapes, from polar deserts to lush boreal forests. The exhibition will highlight the impact of globalisation and climate change on the Arctic region, using engaging and science-based exhibits to explain the challenges facing the area.
